About Me
There are few things that I love more than organizing. I truly enjoy the challenge of transforming a problem area into a tidy, functional space.
My first career was as an elementary school teacher. Back then, it was the most exciting and rewarding job I had ever had... and the most demanding. Looking back on my 12 years of teaching, I believe it was my organizational skills that saved my sanity. Not only did I manage to leave that job with my faculties intact, I also left with some pretty incredible teaching skills.
While taking a break from teaching to stay home with my young children, I realized that I can combine my love of teaching and organizing, and teach people to organize. Thus began my life as a professional organizer, and Simply Thriving was born. I feel so fortunate to be able to help people take control of their "stuff", living spaces, and lives!
When I'm not organizing, I love spending time with my husband and our two sons - especially biking, hiking, playing board games, reading, and going on adventures of all kinds. And when I get a little time to myself, you can bet I'll be knitting and listening to true crime podcasts.
I am a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) and hold a NAPO Specialist Certificate in Residential Organizing (link for NAPO at the bottom of the page).
